May 7, 2015: Buy the Right Product

I’m known for saving money. But sometimes the lowest-priced product isn’t the best deal…

Case in point, I recently learned that our van takes a special type of transmission fluid unique to our make of automobile. If that oil is not used, it can wreck our transmission, resulting in very costly repairs. It brings you back to that first decision in the repair shop: while I may have wanted to save a few dollars by using a cheaper fluid, it can result in thousands of dollars in repairs down the road.

But this isn’t just true for car repairs; it can even be applied to clothing and furniture purchases. Before automatically opting for the lowest price, do your research to make sure that is the best deal for the long run.
