Our family has been dying to check out the new Chihuly at Cheekwood exbihit! So what better time than on a Free Museum Weekend?
Cheekwood-Saturday

Saturday mornings are particularly great at Cheekwood because they always have Free Crafts for the kids from 10a-12p. Of course, today’s craft was to make a flag (you can totally see the difference in our kids’ personalities just by looking at their flags!)

But the real star of the day was the installation of Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures amidst the already incredible gardens at Cheekwood. I’ve said since we’ve moved here that Cheekwood is one of my favorite places in Nashville (and I am NOT normally a garden girl), but the entire space is SO beautiful and there is so much to see, that I can’t get enough!

Just take a look:

It was truly a magical afternoon, despite the heat! We even enjoyed a picnic on the grounds:

Just look at those faces!

Nope – no sign up yesterday. Just show up anytime between 10a-12p in their educational building. They ALWAYS have such great crafts and SO many things for the kids to make use of. We’ll have to take the kids together soon!
