First Saturday Freebies

first saturday freebies

If you didn’t know, the first Saturday of each month is loaded with freebies and great deals!

If you’re going to pick one weekend to capture some free family fun and do some shopping, typically you can count of the first Saturday of the month to deliver.

Here’s a synopsis of some of your best first Saturday free options:

First Saturday Freebies

Home Depot Free Kids Workshop

The first Saturday of every month, kids can build a free project, get a free apron, a free pin, a certificate of completion and a snack. View the full Home Depot Free Kids Workshop schedule here.

Free Museum Weekend

Bank of America customers can visit one of over a hundred museums and cultural institutions across the country on the first weekend of every month, simply by showing their Bank of America card. Find full free museum weekend details here.

Goodwill Half Price Saturday

You can always find a great deal at Goodwill, but you’ll find an exceptional deal on the first Saturday of every month because EVERYTHING is half price! This is my favorite time to get clothes for my kids; once you know what brands work best on them, it’s easy to do a quick scan to find what works for your family. Here’s the Goodwill Half Price Saturday schedule.

UPDATE: As of November 2016 (at least in Middle Tennessee) the first Saturdays is now only half off clothing, not the rest of the store.

Lowes Build and Grow Workshop

While this freebie isn’t the first Saturday of each month, the Lowes Build and Grow workshop typically happens every other Saturday and features another free project kids can build. (typically based around whatever children’s movie is in theaters at the time). View the full Lowes Build and Grow Workshop schedule here.
