Who isn’t looking for a sentimental gift for Valentine’s Day? Especially when it comes to the kiddos, you want something that will say I love you for a long time to come…

That’s why I thought it would be perfect to do a Hallmark Recordable Storybook giveaway in time for Valentine’s Day!

hallmark-recordable-storybook

I originally received my first Hallmark Recordable Storybook just before Christmas. I immediately thought of my mother-in-law who was coming to visit us and thought to save it for her to record for the kids…and that’s just what we did. Take a look:

We selected “The First Christmas” for Nani (a combination of “Nana” & “Anita” …isn’t that adorable?!) to read to the kids. The process couldn’t have been easier (just make sure to move the button from the ‘Record’ switch after you’re done so the kids don’t erase it on accident!) and now my kids have a keepsake from their grandma to treasure for years to come. In fact, my kids now refer to it as their ‘favorite book’.

Obviously I’m not going to give away a Christmas book (I’m all about after Christmas sales, but this isn’t the venue for that!), so just look at what I do have for you. One lucky winner can pick their choice of the following titles:
-“All the Ways I Love You”
-“Guess How Much I Love You”
-“Counting Kisses”
-“On the Night You Were Born”

I was SO excited when I found out Hallmark turned these popular children’s books into recordable titles. While Hallmark offers so many other options for their Recordable Storybooks, the above selections are some of my favorites that I’ve read to my kids, so that’s why I wanted to share them with you.

Obviously the first two would be ideal for Valentine’s Day, but I have to say that ever since discovering “On the Night You Were Born” it’s been one of my favorite gifts to give to people when they have a newborn. I can’t even imagine the blessing it would be to receive this book in its new recordable version!

So on to the giveaway!
Here are the methods to win your choice of one of the Recordable Storybooks above (make sure to leave a separate comment for each method of entry):

I would love All The Ways I Love You. My grandson use to live with me and I would read him a story every night before bed and now he lives in another state and I don’t get to see him that much anymore. We talk on the phone as much as we can but it is still hard on both of us and he always says I wish you could read me a story be fore I go to bed tonight. Winning this would let him be able to hear me read to him and tell him I love you everynight.

I would love The First Christmas for my children. They love the Christmas story and I like the idea of them being able to hear their mom or dad read it to them at any time 🙂

I would like to win the “Guess How Much I Love You” storrybook to give to my granddaughter who is 4 yo. She lives a good distance from me. I was able to visit her (and son and daughter-in-law) over Christmas. I read to her everynight I was with them. I would end each night’s reading with, believe it or nor, by asking her to guess how much I loved her. It became quite a game between us. Whenever I call, I ask to speak with her and inevitably we will ask one another “Guess how much I love you”. As I only get to see so seldomly, I think it would just be great to send her this as a daily reminder of just how much Papa really does love her. Thank you for the opportunity to share my story.

My grandchildren live in Iowa and I have not seen but one when she was first born. Health/job issues have kept me from visiting. I would like to get a card and record a story for them because I know they would love something like that. Abbey just started to read and Jack is too busy climbing over everything to get what’s happening, but I am sure they would love to get a book that I have recorded for them. I Live in Nashville, tN,,currently unemployed and watching every penney I have. It would mean the world to me to get one or two (How much I love you)(Or, All the Ways I love you) of these adorable books. thanks so much.

One of my favorite childhood books that I would like to see made into a Recordable Storybook is “Where the Wild Things Are.” This was one of my favorite books and still is to this day because it is full of ways to let your imagination grow with the characters in the story. Even my sons enjoy this book.

LaTousha Davis February 4, 2011 - 10:22 pm

“On the Night You Were Born” is the storybook I would pick. I have always wanted my sons to have this book as a keepsake, just haven’t been able to provide it to them. It would be a very special Valentine’s Day gift for them that would come straight from my heart to their hearts.

“On The Night You Were Born”

I’ve never read this little book, but the title alone strums my heart strings right now. Our precious Blaken was born November 16, 2010. The story of his birth is wonderfully special to us, as two days later we discovered a bleed on his brain and quickly spiraled into a week long nightmare.

God is good, though, and 2 months later we learned that He healed our precious little miracle completely!

I imagine this book would hold a very, very special place in our little family for a long, long time!
