As we continue collecting for your OCC shoeboxes, I have a tip you might not have thought of…
Even though there is an age range for the boxes you’re packing, you might not think it possible to include clothing or shoes. But you’re never going to believe two of the most requested shoebox items: Flip Flops and those little stretchy gloves!
Many children don’t have shoes and flip flops can be very forgiving when it comes to size. The same holds true for those amazing stretchy gloves, and both items can often be found on sale for under a dollar.
Other wanted items include t-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips and even brightly-colored jewelry. Just consider what will work across a variety of sizes and climates and you’ll be all set to make a difference in a child’s life!
