IN MY LIFE:
* I know I can’t stay in this state of pause forever, but it seems like since I went out to spend the last week of my dad’s life with him in the hospital before he passed – and because we’re not having a traditional burial/funeral – I’m left in limbo not knowing how to grieve. In this time when I want to crawl up in a hole by myself (even though I know that’s not what my dad would want), I can’t because I’ve already taken my “time off” before his passing.
* Still, I’m going to pull up my big girl panties and press on. Here’s a snapshot of what I shared about things on Instagram not long ago:

Hard to believe it’s been one week since my daddy left this earth. I hesitated sharing this picture, but have heard from several of you following our story that being with my dad in his final week of life has reminded each of you how important it is not to take a single moment for granted.
* Whether it’s a phone call, writing a letter, texting someone an apology, or reaching for someone’s hand, I promise you that you will never regret that action, but you will definitely regret inaction.
