Turkey Brine Recipe

November 25, 2015: Turkey Brine Recipe

Some of the oldest cooking traditions are not only the most thrifty, but also the most delicious!

I’ve already taught you that marinating your meat can impart a great deal of flavor into cheaper cuts of meat, but what about when it comes to your Thanksgiving turkey?

One of the best ways to add flavor and impart moisture is to brine your turkey.

You can make a simple brine of salt water and vinegar and even mix it in a plastic bucket from a home-improvement store.

Soak it for anywhere from 12 to 36 hours before cooking. And remember, cook your turkey about 20 minutes per pound for a perfect result every time!
