When NOT to Get Gas

September 17, 2014: When NOT to Get Gas

Sit tight as I’m about to put YOU in the driver’s seat when it comes to saving money on your car…

I wouldn’t say I have a lot of knowledge about cars, but since they are one of the most expensive purchases we make as adults, I’ve tried to educate myself on how to keep them running well.

One time, I almost ended up with a several thousand dollar bill because I thought I had ruined the fuel system of my car. As it turned out, there was simply debris at the bottom of the gas tank causing the rough running.

Want to know how it got there? I filled my tank while the gas truck was refilling the pumps, causing the debris to be stirred up and deposited into my gas tank.

So next time you see a tanker replenishing fuel at a station, just keep driving and thank me later.
