veggie-tales-easterThe VeggieTales team is at it again!

It’s been years since VeggieTales has released an original Easter story on DVD and not only have they done exactly that this year, but one lucky SamiCone.com reader has a chance to win their very own copy of Twas the Night Before Easter!

It goes without saying that the music rocks…literally. Aside from the hilarious Silly Song, “The Hopparena” (my kids think I’m just laughing at the song itself without realizing the hideous dance craze of the 90’s that it’s poking fun at!), I guarantee you won’t be able to get the finale song out of your head…and that’s a good thing! The music is so good in this DVD, that you’ll even hear the voice of a former American Idol star.

What I love most about Twas the Night Before Easter is the message. The underlying theme is helping others, but more importantly, kids learn that the way we think we need to help others is not always the way they most need to receive help. This film paints such a beautiful, yet humorous, vignette of Christ’s love for us and how we can model that in a very real and tangible way this Easter season.

I’m excited to be able to offer you a chance to win a copy of Twas the Night Before Easter for your family to enjoy. To enter, just leave a comment below with one of your family’s Easter traditions.

When my sisters and I were growing up, my mom would hide our Easter baskets at night around the house. We each had an identifable stuffed animal to know if we had found ours or not while we were searching in the dark.

The Easter bunny leaves hints and notes all over the house to take the children on a scavenger hunt to find their Easter baskets. Fun!
