I know, my title today isn’t very creative, but it’s true and cannot go unmentioned…

BIG Sports Day {The Daily Dash: January 22, 2020}

IN THE NEWS:

* Greece elects first female President
* 1st night of Senate impeachment hearings lasted until 2am ET
* Derek Jeter Named to MLB HOF
* KU & K State basketball teams got into a bench-clearing brawl at end of game
* Zion Williamson makes his NBA debut tonight
* Celebration of Life Day

IN THE WORD:

Natural devotion may be enough to attract us to Jesus, but it will never make us disciples- Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

After things got a little heavy yesterday, I thought I’d focus on what could be seen as a less controversial topic, depending on what part of the country you’re from: SPORTS.

As I mentioned in my news bullet points above, there is a ton going on in the sports world today. And I don’t care what your favorite sport or team is, there are some milestones worth watching today:
Zion Williamson will play his first professional basketball game with the New Orleans Pelicans
15yo tennis phenom, Coco Gauff, will face off against another young star, Naomi Osaka, at the Australian Open
Derek Jeter missed a unanimous entry into the HOF by 1 vote!

Sure, I have my favorite teams, but overall, I’m a fan of sport, so today is a good day!

PRAYER FOCUS: Encourage
I pray that you build up and encourage one another today.

Stay in the know on the go:
