Did I Survive the Cleanse? {The Daily Dash: June 17, 2019}

IN THE NEWS:

* Gloria Vanderbilt died at age 95
* Duke & Duchess of Sussex released new picture of Archie
* Taylor Swift & Katy Perry feud officially over after “Happy Meal” photo
* National Eat Your Vegetables Day

IN THE WORD:

The Christian life is one of spiritual courage and determination lived out in our flesh ~ Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

My 9-day cleanse is officially over. I’ll confess, I followed it to the T for the first 5 days…and then came events where I had to eat out. Even though I still stayed on track for the most part, I think any food you eat out (even if just rotisserie chicken and vegetables) still has ingredients you can’t control (for example, you will never know how much salt and sugar is added).

As I shared on Instagram, I lost 7 pounds in the first few days, so it’s definitely a great detox and jumpstart to whatever health goals you may have. If you want to check out what I did, look for the C9 cleanse here: https://bit.ly/avfForeverFit

I also decided to help keep my BFF accountable on a program she’s starting today, so here’s to everyone’s health!

We also picked up our French exchange student last night at the airport; he’ll be staying with us all week. Here’s hoping I haven’t forgotten all my French!

PRAYER FOCUS: Knowledge
I encourage each of us to learn at least one other language than our native tongue and pray God would give us the knowledge and capacity to do so.
