Parenting Changes in College {Daily Dash: October 15, 2025}
IN MY LIFE:
It’s Fall Break for many students across the US (as I witnessed while I was at Disney World last weekend!) and my daughter is coming home with some friends for hers. I also got to catch up with my son on the phone today.
People often ask me what parenting is like in the empty nest phase. I quickly respond by saying that being a mom never stops, there’s just a lot more waiting involved. I may not get to see my kids as much or talk to them as often, but when I do, it’s impactful. Either they really need something, really miss me, or are super excited about news they have to share. Regardless, I’m so thankful to walk through this season with my kids..
