In today’s Daily Dash video, August 6 2015, I haven’t shared a lot about the process of selling our home and buying a new one, but I have to speak my mind a little bit today before I lose it…The Daily Dash: August 6 2015 {Losing My Mind – Choosing Joy}

IN THE NEWS:
* Another plane piece found
* 1st Prime Time GOP debate tonight (& it also happens to be Jon Stewart’s last night on the Daily Show)
* Movie Theater Shooting in Nashville
* Cosby ordered to give deposition
* 9yo Baseball bat boy killed by practice swing

IN MY LIFE:
* Ironically (or not, depending on how you believe), the kids have a day off school today (for Election Day) and we have some big decisions to make. I haven’t said much about our home sale/purchase up until this point because things have been so touch and go, but today is a big day.

* Even as a Jewish lawyer’s daughter who loves the art of negotiating, I always do my best to remember there is another human being on the other side of every contract and negotiation. So when people don’t operate the same way, it baffles me.

* Today, I’m choosing joy, throwing my hands in the air and saying “whatever Lord”. I am going to choose to be content no matter what the circumstance, even if that means staying put in our present circumstance.

(P.S. A great book that’s helped me with this principle is Choose Joy by Kay Warren, which is available on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/1IZsovn)
