One of the best college basketball coaches of all time is saying goodbye…

Roy Williams Retires as UNC Coach {The Daily Dash: April 1, 2021}

IN THE NEWS:

  • MLB Baseball Opening Day
  • LeBron James officially becomes part owner of the Red Sox
  • Airlines now selling middle seats
  • Another mass shooting in California
  • April Fools Day

IN THE WORD:

We are super-victors with a joy that comes from experiencing the very things which look as if they are going to overwhelm us ~ Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

I was sincerely hoping the news of Roy Williams retiring was just a joke for April Fools Day. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s actually the truth. I could go on and on about all of Roy’s accomplishments, but I’ll let you look at them here if you’re interested.

While the past two years of UNC basketball has been anything other than normal, I’m grateful for the games we got to watch and attend in person. And I’ll forever be grateful for the moment I got to meet Coach Roy right before the pandemic started. (One day I hope to interview him on The Sami Cone Show!).

PRAYER FOCUS: Integrity

Now I’m not going to say that if you do play pranks, you lack integrity. But what I will say is I pray each of you respect people who don’t think or act they way you do today. Taking a play from Coach Williams’ playbook, conduct yourself the same way off the court as you would on the court.
