IN MY LIFE:
I’ve seen two more movies since I last came to you and I have lots of thoughts.
First of all, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On totally blew us away in the best was possible. I had NO idea what to expect and it was beautifully charming. This is definitely family-friendly and will make you look at life differently. Get ready to laugh, cry and think. Read/watch my full review here.
We also saw a preview of Thor: Love and Thunder last night. It was very tongue and cheek, as most of the Thor franchise is. Not only the the Guardians of the Galaxy make an appearance in the first scene, this film has a rockin’ 80’s soundtrack like that franchise as well, focusing on a lot of the hair and rock bands of that era.
I will say that this isn’t one of those Marvel movies where you need to re-watch all the preceding ones before you see this one. In fact, there are some good recaps woven into the storyline! I’ll have more to say soon, but suffice it to say it was entertaining. Definitely not my favorite of the Marvel movies, but most in attendance seemed to have a good time.
