I affirmed something about my personality this morning…

IN MY LIFE:
After dropping my husband off at the airport this morning, I re-affirmed two things about myself:
- I’m a city girl. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I get energy from concrete and tall buildings. While many in Music City retreat to the country for acres of grass and farm animals, I love living close to a city. We popped in for dinner last night, I was able to drop my husband off during rush hour in 10 minutes and I love the variety of people I get to surround myself with.
- I crave alone time. As much as I consider myself a people-person, I underestimate how much I need dedicated time alone to recharge. I’ll have about 24 hours to be by myself, and while I still have to work during most of that time, there’s a peace of mind knowing I don’t have to take care of anyone else buy myself (and this puppy we somehow ended up with). I don’t know how to rest well, so I likely won’t be sitting much, but I can assure you I will be productive and come out with a clearer mind at the end of it.

PRAYER FOCUS: Contentment
As it says in Philippians, I pray you learn to be content regardless of where you are and whatever circumstance you find yourself in.
