Yesterday was a busy one for me, including a doctor’s appointment for my wrist that I hurt on Mother’s Day when I fell down the stairs, a meeting with my kids’ school principal and a Skype meeting with a client.
But once home, we laid pretty low. The grandmas took my daughter for a birthday pedicure and then delighted me by offering to cook dinner so I could work.
After dinner, we tried finishing a puzzle we’ve been working on for a couple days and yes, you guessed it, it was missing the final piece! My husband’s rationale was that we probably got it at a garage or consignment sale so I shouldn’t be surprised, but it was still frustrating. Ultimately, we had fun with the old-school family time and I can’t believe my first-born turns 13 tomorrow!
