Discover Live Virtual Travel {Daily Dash: August 18, 2025}
IN MY LIFE:
I’ve been keeping something from you: for the past couple of months, I’ve been working with a company called Discover Live. In a nutshell, they offer live virtual tours all over the globe.
I fell in love with the people, their product, and their mission, so it’s been an honor to help them spread the word about virtual travel.

So what is virtual travel? Discover Live offers 60-minute live walking tours all over the world. They work with over 200 local guides who perform live tours in their respective cities, while we get to sit in the comfort of our homes (or offices, senior centers, etc) and just see everything through their eyes.
Two of my favorite applications/most ideal consumers are assisted living facilities and educational institutions. Imagine studying about a certain country and then having a live guide literally walk you through its streets and explain its history. Or imagine living in an assisted living facility where it’s no longer possible for you to travel, but being able to revisit some of your favorite spots in the world (or visit new ones), making the thrill of other cultures tangible again!
In just a few short months, I’ve traveled to new spots like Buenos Aires and Croatia, while revisiting favorite cities like London & Paris. Some tours highlight the most popular tourist attractions, while others have a specific focus, like street art or a religious pilgrimage to a cathedral.
