Do Less Laundry

January 19, 2015: Do Less Laundry

We’ve already discussed conserving water in the laundry, but have you ever considered spending less them there altogether?

Levi’s CEO sent the fashion world ablaze last year when he confessed he’d NEVER washed the jeans he wore for that interview…and they were over a year old! He recommended spot cleaning with a sponge or toothbrush and then air-drying to keep the jeans in their original state.

Truth be told, we should follow that advice for the majority of our clothes! Socks and undergarments aside, we don’t need to be tossing every shirt, sweater and pair of pants in the laundry after each time we wear them. Instead, be sure to hang them back up right away in an uncrowded closet and not only will you save on energy and detergent, but you’ll find your clothes will last much longer too!
