If there were never any clouds in our lives, we would have no faith…

IN THE WORD:

Sanctification is an impartation, not an imitation ~ Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

In a devotional recently, I was reminded how clouds are always associated with God in the Bible. Though clouds (which can manifest as sorrow or suffering in our personal lives) may seem to contradict the sovereignty of God, it is through these very clouds that the Spirit of God is teaching us how to walk by faith.
(You can read more in “My Utmost for His Highest” by Oswald Chambers)

Oswald Chambers goes on to say that, “Through every cloud God brings our way, He wants us to unlearn something; His purpose in using the cloud is to simply our beliefs until our relationship with Him is exactly like that of a child.”

As the rain came down today, I was reminded to look up, even if that means the rain may get on our face. Our lives may not look like we planned, but we can make sure our hearts are aligned with the one who plans our path so that we feel comforted every step of the way.

PRAYER FOCUS: Faith
Faith comes from believing in that which we cannot see. I pray that you have enough faith to see the face of God, even when the clouds cover the heavens.
