Welcome friends! I’m getting you ready for everything spring on the March 2022 episode of The Sami Cone Show.

I kicked off the show by learning about Hard Rock Cafe’s latest World Class Burger and the International Soccer star it’s named after. Then I walk you through the things you should be spring cleaning (that most people aren’t) and how you can make the homemade cleaners you need with just 3 items that you probably already have in your cabinets.

I also sat down with a 5-time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter who’s also making waves in the fashion world. And if you’re feeling exhausted, I found the coach who can help you go from Burnout to BOOM with simple strategies you can start implementing today.

Episode 31 of The Sami Cone Show aired on Friday, March 11, 2022, and re-aired on Saturday, March 12.

From Burnout to Boom

With 77% of the workforce reporting they have experienced burnout in their current role, it is an epidemic of its own.

Linda Zelnik of ALTA coaching joins us to give women some practical tips, as well as encouragement, for what we can do TODAY to not just feel productive again, but feel like they’re leaning in to their purpose and calling. Are you ready to have less stress and more energy in your life?

We don’t have space for the unexpected, yet we know the unexpected will come up. We can’t self-care ourselves out of burnout.

~ Linda Zelnik

Before I Go, I Need You to Know: Find the Light

Have you ever pulled apart a pair of chopsticks from a Chinese takeout restaurant, only to discover a splinter in your finger later?

That happened to me one night and while I couldn’t see anything in my hand, I also couldn’t ignore the nagging pain. I did everything possible to both remedy and ignore the foreign object, but to no avail.

Whether it was because of the lack of light, improper tools or because I simply started doubting whether or not something was really there at all, I soon gave up and moved on.

It wasn’t until the next morning that things became more clear. With help from the daylight, tweezers and a magnifying glass, I was finally able to locate and remove the splinter from the night before.

It made me think about how negativity and poor choices can penetrate our lives, sometimes without us even knowing how they got there. At first we may try to fight against them, but if we linger in the darkness too long, we begin to accommodate the intruder instead of trying to remove it.

As you go about your day today, I ask you to examine what spiritual or emotional splinter needs to be removed from your life. Maybe it’s metaphorical, but it’s quite possible it’s something much more literal.

Wherever you are right now, stop to find the light. Never accommodate something in your life you know to be untrue, unwise or unwelcome. Trust your God-given intuition and never be afraid to ask for help removing something from your life you know shouldn’t be there in the first place.

Wardrobe Sponsor: Lilly Pulitzer

I’m wearing the McKinnon Midi dress from Lilly Pulitzer

There was quite the controversy between the two dresses I asked you to help me choose last month. I went with the cantaloupe and loved it. But to be honest, I was going to get the pink one for the show this month.

However, when I went back to Lilly Pulitzer at The Mall at Green Hills, I discovered they created the same exact dress in a beautiful blue! As I was in the dressing room debating the new conundrum, Kasey (the store manager who seems to know my style better than I do) threw a dress over the door that I never would have selected for the rack.

“Trust me on this one…”

I don’t normally love a pink floral print, but I immediately fell in love with this dress from the moment I put it on. From the unique structure and neckline to the cinching around the bodice and the gold belt around the waist, I loved it all.

As convenient as online shopping is these days, that’s exactly why I love going into the store to shop. And because they know my likes, dislikes and history, they’re better able to make suggestions for my wardrobe.

My Lilly Pulitzer outfit definitely dictated the Kendra Scott Jewelry I picked out this month. That, and their new spring line was just too beautiful to resist!

Here’s what I wore on the show:

BTW, I also fell in love with the Ashlyn Gold Long Pendant Necklace In Bronze Veined Magenta Jade, but it was already sold out!
