Are you ready to get Messi? Now you can at Hard Rock Cafe Nashville with their newest burger created in partnership with one of the greatest soccer players of all time!

The Messi Burger at Hard Rock Cafe Nashville

Chef John Nasrat & Blake Heinricks joined me on the show this month to tell us how we can get our hands on this new creation, as well as some exciting new merch.

The Messi Burger was created with Lionel Messi, an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the Argentina national team. (And before you ask, no, Lionel will not be at Hard Rock Cafe making the burgers – I asked 🙂

Messi Burger Ingredients

Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, this newest collab combines some of his ideal burger components, including:

  • a double stack of ground beef patties
  • 2 slices of provolone cheese
  • sliced chorizo
  • caramelized red onion
  • Hard Rock’s signature, spicy, smoky sauce (they also wouldn’t give me any details what goes into this either!)

Let’s Get Messi

The burger becomes truly MESSI if you top it with a fried egg.

Trust me – that is the only way to eat this burger. The runny egg helps all the flavors come together and makes it extra decadent. Just be prepared to buy a new shirt after eating it because it is practically guaranteed to get all over you. Speaking of new shirts…

Messi Merchandise Collection at HRC

Hard Rock and Messi have come together to unveil a new collection of merchandise, which includes some of Messi’s iconic symbols such as the number 10, the lion, and his own logo.

The collaboration is a tribute to Hard Rock’s roots, as their world-famous T-shirts came about when the original Hard Rock Cafe London sponsored a local soccer team in the 1970s.

My mom’s from England and there is a Hard Rock memory I’ll never forget. I still remember running to the HRC in London to get an original t-shirt before they closed when I was there in high school and I sincerely wish I still had that shirt.

Lionel Messi & Hard Rock Cafe

Messi became the Hard Rock brand ambassador as they celebrated their 50th anniversary in June of 2021.

Hard Rock venues are in 68 countries with 253 locations that include Hotels, Casinos, Rock Shops®, Live Performance Venues and Cafes. Of course I think you should visit our Hard Rock Cafe here in Nashville as well as the original in London. And if you can, I suggest visiting the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe in Fort Lauderdale, the world’s first guitar hotel.
