Hand Me Downs

August 12, 2015: Hand Me Downs

What’s old is new again on today’s episode of the Family Money Minute!

Our first run-in with school uniforms was when our son went to private school in Pre-K, so you can imagine my shock when I discovered just ONE of the shirts they were required to wear cost $15!

Lucky for us, a family had given some of their kids’ older shirts to the school in case anyone asked for hand-me downs.

Whether it’s passing down a textbook or uniforms that are now too small, one of the best places to get your school necessities at a steal are by simply asking around!

Many schools now even have their own Facebook page or private website where you can look for such things.

Sometimes the best deals simply come from asking your community around you!
