How is your new year going so far? Let’s talk about keeping promises to yourself…

Keep Promises to Yourself {Daily Dash: January 2, 2023}

IN THE NEWS:

  • Officers injured in machete attack in Times Square on NYE
  • Anita Pointer of the Pointer Sisters and Barbara Walters died
  • Thousands without power after flooding in CA
  • Ancestry Day

IN MY LIFE:

I don’t know about you, but there’s been something interesting about having New Year’s Day on a Sunday this year. Perhaps it’s because I have family in town still or because of the weekend, but yesterday I found myself already saying, “I’ll start on Monday.”

Wherever you fall on the spectrum of being reflective and goal-setting with regard to finishing one year and starting another, I pray today is a new start for you. Be grateful, show love, look back over the year that was, and look ahead to the year that is. It’s not so much about starting a diet and working out as it is about keeping promises you make to yourself.

Let me know how I can help encourage you on your path. Whether it’s money-saving tricks or inspirational encouragement, I’m here to share my journey AND share the road we’re on together.

IN THE WORD:

We often take our circumstances for granted, saying God is in control, but not really believing it – Oswald Chambers

PRAYER FOCUS: Grace

Some of you may have already forgotten to follow through on a New Year’s resolution…and it’s only the second day of the year! It’s OK, give yourself some grace, as well as those around you too.

Stay in the know on the go:

Hope you have a great day, make sure you make it great and don’t forget to tell someone you love how you feel about them!
