July 17, 2015: My 40th Birthday

Today is quite a special day for me and I’ll share why coming up…

Today is my 40th birthday! While I’d like to believe I just graduated from college, the truth is I’m twice the age of most of my students. But with that age comes experience, some wisdom and lots of tips for saving money!

The majority of my frugality came from my Jewish father, who is a first generation American, was born during the Great Depressions and fought in World War II. His lessons to work hard, avoid debt, and always invest may have seemed harsh as a kid, but they’ve stuck with me and made me the woman, wife and mother I am today.

So what’s the best gift you can give me today? Help your family have a new experience with money by setting goals, getting out of debt, and saving & giving off the top of every paycheck you receive.
