My Daughter in Court {The Daily Dash: February 21, 2020}

IN MY LIFE:

Today’s the day. After month’s of practicing, my daughter’s mock trial team will be competing in the courthouse downtown this weekend. As a high school student who aspires to be a lawyer one day, this program has been great training for her.

That being said, it’s been a really hard month with various tryouts and other high school responsibilities for our kids, so we cannot wait to go cheer her on.

I don’t know if I need to keep saying I have a busy weekend ahead – I feel like that goes without saying for most days of my life – but it’s fun when I get to watch my kids step into their giftedness. What are you up to this weekend?

PRAYER FOCUS: Confident
As I teach my public speaking students, there is a strong difference between being confident and cocky. I pray each of you feel confident in who you are and what you do today.
