Growing your own food is a great way to help your grocery budget, not to mention improve your overall health, and this weekend is a great time to get started!
Depending on where you live, you might not be able to plant seeds in the ground just yet, but you can start planting seedlings inside the safety of your home. In fact, many home improvement stores will even offer buy one get one free sales on seeds and other garden items around this time to kick off the gardening season.
All you really need is a cardboard egg carton, some soil and some seeds to give this a go. By investing less than five dollars and a little TLC now, you could be reaping something far more valuable in six to eight weeks!
