My birthday week continued by seeing something we’d all been waiting for…

A disciple must maintain an attitude of perfect trust and an eagerness to ask and to seek ~ Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:
I can’t remember the last time I went two days without coming to you live, but in the aftermath of my birthday and trying to make up some work, my days have gotten away from me. I’ll be honest, sometimes I miss the rhythm of the school year!

We had a great time at Gaylord Opryland Resort and I spent a fun time with some friends for a small birthday dinner, but last night the four of us got to see a film we were waiting to see together: Ant Man and The Wasp! We get giddy when new Marvel movies come out (especially when we can see them in reclining seats) and this one did not disappoint.

Was it as exciting as Captain America: Civil War? No (but will anything ever be in my book? Probably not.) However, the quick wit of Paul Rudd mixed with the iconic demeanor of Michael Douglas – especially combined with Michelle Pfeiffer – kept us laughing and gasping. (Oh, and I can’t forget Michael Pena – hilarious as ever!).

Without giving anything away, what I found most interesting was that there wasn’t a true (or should I say, “typical”) villain…you’ll just have to watch to find out. OH, and speaking of watching, make sure you stay through the credits for both a mid-scene and end scene.

PRAYER FOCUS: Clever
In honor of Paul Rudd’s comedic timing and brilliant faces, I pray that each of you are mentally sharp, having a quick with and sense of humor about you today.

MONTH OF 615
As a reminder, all month on The Daily Dash I’ll be wearing tees from Project 615, who supports world-changing causes through their apparel. Did you know Nashville now has a professional soccer team? Project 615 has partnered with the Nashville Soccer Club to create some incredible tees, including the jersey I’m wearing today. Find all their soccer gear here: https://www.project615.org/search?q=soccer.
