IN MY LIFE:

Like you, I woke up to some shocking Olympic news today. Not only did Simone Biles pull herself from the Gymnastics team competition, citing mental health issues, the US women’s team finished with a silver medal.

Naomi Osaka also lost to an unseeded player in the third round.

In brighter news, we celebrated my daughter’s 17th birthday yesterday. With a big celebration last year and another big milestone next year, we opted to keep things low key this year. She requested a vanilla cake with strawberry filling, which I made homemade. She also just wanted friends over to hang out with some snacks, so that’s what we did.

PRAYER FOCUS: Self-Discipline

I pray we all have the self-discipline to make goals and stick to them.
