I’m talking about a lost art today…

IN MY LIFE:

Do you still send handwritten thank you notes? I’m afraid it’s becoming a lost art form, but I will fight that to the end!

Last night, I decided to handwrite notes to all the seniors in my class. And as I was doing it, it also made me ponder whether or not they’ll be able to read my cards because I write in cursive (something else that’s not taught in schools anymore).

I sat quietly and presented each student’s name before the Lord and then simply wrote what He brought to my head, including a characteristic to pray over them in the coming year.

At the same time, I had my son write notes to some family members. I know I get push back, but in an era where we get so little “happy mail” in our mailboxes anymore, a handwritten note is always so appreciated.

So what say you? Do you still send cards in the mail?

Shutterfly is offering one free card right now with the code CARD4U if you want to give it a try: https://shrsl.com/1kpl9

PRAYER FOCUS: Selfless
As we talk about writing thank you cards, may we all think of others before ourselves today.
