Free Summer Reading

May 27, 2015: Free Summer Reading

While it may not cost a lot to read a book, summer brings its own set of rewards for kids who like to read…

Sure, you can go to the library to pick up a book for free at any time, but once school is out, many libraries will offer free summer reading programs for kids that rewards them for not only the number of books they read, but also the variety of library activities they participate in.

Likewise, many book chains will offer similar programs, sometimes even allowing your child to pick out a free book of their choice after completing the challenge. And don’t forget about all the free storytimes both offer for little ones who can’t yet read for themselves.
