IN THE WORD:

God explains things to us as we are able to understand them ~ Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

Despite the rain, tonight marks an annual tradition not to be missed: the Opryland lighting ceremony! That’s right, the incredible Christmas lights at Gaylord Opryland get switched on tonight, rain or shine. It’s truly the most “Christmassy” experience and we wouldn’t miss it for the world!

Anyone can attend and the ceremony starts at 5:45. See details and video from last year’s ceremony here.

Today is also the holiday kickoff at Starbucks, which means you can get a free “Merry Coffee” cup (while supplies last) when you order a holiday beverage. Then, bring the red cup back through the beginning of January to get 50 cents off any holiday beverage. Plus, if you’re boarding an Alaska Airlines flight this week, I’ve heard your Starbucks holiday cup will also get you priority boarding!

PRAYER FOCUS: Understanding
Today’s Oswald quote really rocked me. Is it possible I’m not understanding more because I’m not ready to? If that’s the case, I pray greater understanding over all of us today.
