Summer Kids' Journal

June 23, 2015: Summer Kids’ Journal

Want an easy and free way to keep track of all your kids do this summer? Then you won’t want to miss what I have to share today…

Don’t let summer pass you by! I know my kids always start the summer with a plethora of ideas but not always with a plan. To ensure your kids not only do all the want to do this summer AND remember this summer years later, encourage them to start a summer journal.

You can do this with any notebook or paper you already have in your house. Start at the front of the journal by listing ideas of everything the want to accomplish or participate in. Then, as it happens, have your kids make an individual journal entry about it: older kids can write or include photographs while younger kids can draw their activity.

At the end of the summer, your family can set aside an evening before going back to school to review everyone’s journal and reminisce about all the fun you shared.
