IN MY LIFE
What a beautiful weekend it was in Nashville! My son had a friend sleepover on Friday and, believe it or not, I played tennis for the first time this year on Saturday (I’m still sore! How did I used to do this for 8 hours a day?) I even joined in on the boys’ homemade game of “3 square” for awhile (which I believe further contributed to my sore muscles, but boy was it fun!).

Yesterday, my son ran the slides at church for the first time and loved the responsibility. After lunch, we watched my nephew rock out on the bass and then everyone came back to our house to make a fort.

Yesterday was also the 100th day of reading my NIV Once A Day Bible for Women. If you recall, I’m reading through it and making notes and prayers for my daughter, which I will then gift to her at the end of the year.

Speaking of my daughter, her and I are also starting The Daniel Cure 21-Day Plan today. It’s been tough being without a kitchen for 2 months and, as an almost teenager, she’s really unhappy with her skin. She is already a vegetarian, so having a focused period of prayer and fasting based on the Daniel’s Old Testament fasts recorded in Daniel 1 & 10. Keep in mind, when I say “fast” we are not giving up food entirely, just certain foods for the sake of better health. She’s really excited for us to do this together.
