In today’s Daily Dash video, April 6 2015, after a busy and reflective Easter weekend, I’m getting back on track with schedule, health and book edits…

The Daily Dash: April 6 2015 {What All Kids Should Know}

IN THE NEWS:
* Tolling Stone retracts UVA attack story
* Obama calls Iran nuke agreement “Once in a lifetime deal”
* Wisconsin and Duke (boo!) face off for NCAA championship tonight

IN MY LIFE:
Loving: A book written by an old college friend of min, Rob Pivnick, called “What All Kids Should Know About…Saving & Investing”. He wrote it when he noticed a void in information for his own kids and it’s perfect for kids my age to read themselves (tweens) or for parents to read along with younger kids. And if I may take credit for one thing, after taking a look at the book, I suggested he create some free worksheets to go along with the book and he did! You can benefit from those at whatallkidsshouldknow.com

Learning: Though I misspelled it on social media this weekend, the message is no less important: “We can never fully comprehend Christ’s agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, but at least we don’t have to misunderstand it.” We may never wrap our heads around every aspect of our faith, but let’s make every effort not to misrepresent it…especially through the way we live.

Doing: A few big tasks to tackle today: I have edits back in my inbox for my book that I need to review, I have a TON of grading to do and need to work on my Family Money Minute scripts, so if you have any money topics you want me to tackle, leave a comment below. Also, after a weekend of ‘normal’ eating, I’m ready to get back on the Daniel Plan…I felt AWFUL (not to mention extremely lethargic) yesterday after Easter lunch. I’ll also be watching the championship game tonight and hoping Wisconsin beats our arch rival 🙂
