The Daily Dash: August 29, 2017 {#WorkingMom}

I can’t imagine how I’d parent with a 9-5 job…

* Thousands still being rescued in Houston from Hurricane Harvey
* North Korea fired another ballistic missile, this time over Japan
* Maria Sharapova played in 1st match since a 15-month ban and won, beating #2 seed Halep

We will never know the joy of self-sacrifice until we surrender in every details of our lives ~ Oswald Chambers

With 2 sick kids at home yesterday and another meeting at school this morning, I once again am amazed at how parents with a typical 9-5 job do this whole parenting thing. As hard as it can be to work from home sometimes, I’m SO thankful for the flexibility if provides.

That being said, I turned down another opportunity today to get the work done that got glossed over yesterday. In the midst of work, I’m continuing to pray for everyone in the Houston area and contemplate how our family can help. The important thing to remember is to use your gifts & talents to do something.
