IN MY LIFE:
I’ve never done a smartphone review before, but when the opportunity arose from Verizon to try out the new Google Pixel 2 XL for two weeks, I jumped on it. As a serial Apple girl, I’ll admit, the pull has been strong to switch to the GP2, but without trying it out, there was no way I’d be able to bite the bullet.

The Google Pixel 2 comes in two sizes, four colors and boasts the best smartphone camera in the world. But for me, the most appealing feature is that you never have to delete a photograph with their free unlimited storage for all your photos and videos (in their original quality). As a blogger & vlogger, this is really where the appeal lies.

That being said, because of logistical issues, I didn’t have as much time as I’d hoped to test all the features of the phone, but from what I did experience, it is impressive. Coming from an iOS platform, I’ll admit, it wasn’t as intuitive as I’d hoped it would be out of the box. What I did love is that it had my own personal Google assistant built right in and, as someone who almost exclusively uses the Google platform for all my personal and business properties, the ease of integration from this aspect was beautiful.

All that to say, I don’t know if I’m ready to make the switch just yet because all of our family devices are Apple, but Google (& Verizon) are definitely doing something right with this product.
