IN MY LIFE:
After speaking at my kids’ camp Monday night, sleeping in a cabin and then driving back Tuesday morning, I got a call after getting in bed last night that my son had hurt his ankle. Not wanting to make a rash decision, we decided to wait until morning to see if he improved, but alas, he did not.
I drove the almost 2 hours to camp to get him and then 2 hours back, straight to the Vanderbilt ER (per the nurse’s and our Pediatrician’s suggestions). After four hours, an air cast and crutches, we have our son home for the night with a hairline fracture to his ankle. I’m telling you, we need a personalized parking spot there!
Even in the midst of chaos, I know everything happens for a reason and we’re thankful we have people loving on him even when we can’t be with him (and, I’m not going to lie, I’m glad he’ll get to actually sleep tonight before going back to camp).
PRAYER FOCUS: Health
I pray health and healing over each and every one of you, especially my son and all the kids at summer camps everywhere this week!
