* I can hardly believe it’s been exactly one year since I lost my dad. For quite some time now, I’ve been saying that my dad died 6 months ago, yet here we are at the 1 year anniversary of his sudden death.

To be honest, I’m not quite sure how to feel today. Obviously, I’ve been quite reflective, not only over the past year, but over the past 40 years with him. Losing him made me want to embrace the best of him, and also embody the biggest lessons he taught me.

I haven’t had the heart to re-watch what I said at my dad’s memorial service, but you can watch the video and/or read the 4 “D’s” he taught me here:

And for any of you wondering why I say what I do when I sign off, it all started last year after my dad died: “Have a great day, make it great, and DON’T WAIT to tell someone you love how you feel about them.” When truly never know when a day will be our last…
