IN MY LIFE:
One of the things that’s warmed my heart over the past two weeks have been the unique birthday celebrations I’ve seen shared on social media, even in the midst of the self-quarantine. From parades down neighborhood streets to signs and singing outside of nursing homes, the goodwill remains even when we cannot be close to those we love.
This weekend, I’m not only celebrating my best friend’s birthday, but also one of my daughter’s best friends too. Even though we normally cannot be together, it seems harder this year knowing they can’t celebrate with anyone locally either.
Tonight, we’ll be dressing up for a virtual dinner we’ll share and order in the same meals as well. It might not be the way we’d choose to celebrate, but we’re making the best of the situation!
PRAYER FOCUS: Love
As we celebrate those we love today, I pray that love washes over each of you today.
