This weekend I’m flying out to LA to learn all about the newest initiative from Savings.com, “Savings Nation“.
You may have read recently that I’ve been selected as one of their DealPro teachers and Savings Ambassadors, specifically for Nashville. I’m particularly thrilled about this for two reasons:
1. I am passionate about savings & education, so the opportunity to pair the two excites me beyond words.

2. I become increasingly impressed with Savings.com on a daily basis. This company, founded to help people live a better lif on a budget, is committed in mission, resources and actions to helping real people save real money on things they buy everyday. The fact that they are throwing themselves so whole-heartedly into this venture speaks volumes to me about the quality of people running the organization.
All that goes to say, I don’t know much of what else will take place this weekend. I know we’ll be learning curriculum and sharing best practices amongst each other (about 25 DealPros in all) and I cannot WAIT to be able to share them with you in person at my new coupon classes in Nashville starting in May 2012, as well as here on SamiCone.com.
In fact, though I’m still finalizing details, you can go ahead and mark your calendars for Thursday May 17, 2012. I’ll be conducting my first class in the beautifully equipped training room of All American Pest Control in Donelson from 6-8 pm (more details on sign up coming soon).
In the meantime, I’d love to hear what you’d ideally like to see covered in such a class: advanced coupon strategies? Ways to cut back without coupons? Practical ways to meal plan? You name it, I want to hear it!
After all, what good is a teacher who doesn’t listen to her students? 😉
