When Sofia the First came on the scene last year, we celebrated with a princess party that even the boys enjoyed because of the ‘prince’ly swords and mentions in ‘Royal Prep’ Academy.
Our kids (6 & 8 at the time) LOVED the new addition to the Disney Junior TV lineup…with one exception: they couldn’t watch it.
Not because I wouldn’t allow them, but because Sophia the First came on TV while they were at school.
We had recently done away with our DVR to save money in our monthly budget. So though they had found a new favorite show, it seemed like they would never be able to watch it again.
But then the Easter bunny delivered the new Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess
The one thing Disney has always done a brilliant job with his appealing to both boys and girls alike, no matter whether it’s a pirate movie or a princess movie.

My daughter Sofia (3) is so excited to see “her” princess movie! We don’t have tv, we’ve just seen advertisements for it and so she’d love to have the movie.
My girls love all of the music on Sofia the First & that she gets to talk to the animals! All three would love the DVD set!

We LOVE Sofia! The kids and I love seeing some of the older more classic characters such as Flora Fauna and Merryweather. The occasional appearance of other Princesses is awesome too!
I LOVE this show. I love that it teaches good things about character and is more focused to small children 🙂 I know my kids would love to have a Sofia DVD in their collection 🙂
