Final Day of Speeches & No COVID {The Daily Dash: April 23, 2021}

IN THE NEWS:

  • Decision will come today about next steps for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine
  • New space shuttle launch to early this morning
  • House approves bill that would make Washington DC the 51st state
  • National Picnic Day

IN THE WORD:

Never allow a feeling that was awakened in you on the mountaintop to evaporate ~ Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

It’s been quite the week for me! We had to do some quarantining this week until we received a negative COVID test, which we finally did yesterday. Luckily, it was just in time for Britton to be able to play in his home tennis match and he won both his singles AND doubles. It was so fun to watch!

Today was also the last day of my students’ final speeches and they never cease to amaze me with their poise and insight.

It’s been an exhausting week with a lot of highs and lows. Parenting teenagers is not for the faint of heart! Please pray for me as I pray for each of you this week.

PRAYER FOCUS: Contentment

My prayer for us today is that we all learn to be content, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in.
