IN MY LIFE:

Sorry I missed y’all yesterday. As much as I’ve enjoyed getting back on the Daily Dash, some days just overwhelm me.

It’s easy for me to connect with you through the camera. But to be honest, I haven’t felt like talking to people much or seeing anyone in person. I have friends that want to surround themselves with people when they’re sad. However, I’ve realized I’m more of an introvert than I thought because I’ve learned I tend to seclude myself.

I went through some pretty heavy emotions last weekend. I know time and perspective helps heal wounds, but that doesn’t always help soothe us in the moment of pain.

I didn’t want to let the weekend go by without me checking in. I am still trying to focus on the important things and obviously keeping my kids a priority. But I’m also giving myself some grace for not being as productive every moment of the day like I normally would.

I hope whatever you’re facing today pales in the face of the peace that comes from focusing on the truth God speaks over your life.

PRAYER FOCUS: Joy

May you seek joy and embrace it in all you do today and this weekend!
