IN MY LIFE:

Last night may have been the most impactful of our time in Chicago. During the first night of Shiva, there were so many people, it was hard to really connect or interact with anyone, especially the relatives we wanted to see and comfort. So my mom and I went back for the second night and not only got to spend a little more time with my aunt, uncle and cousins, but also got to be present for a service the rabbi held in their home.

And because we were leaving as my other aunt and uncle were coming to Shiva the first night, we decided to go visit them and my other cousin in their home last night. It’s amazing how many stories I got to hear that I never heard. But more than that, it’s been special to connect with my relatives as an adult.

We may have thought we went up to Chicago for a funeral, but in reality, my mom and I realized we were actually there for those in-between moments.

Who can you reach out to today that has been on your heart for some time?

PRAYER FOCUS: Awareness
I pray that you aren’t rushing so much from point A to point B that you miss the in-between moments God May have for you.
