March 25, 2015: Spring Break Roadtrips

Regardless of whether or not you get your kicks on Route 66, this spring might just be the perfect time to jump in the car with your family to save on Spring Break…

Our family has made many fun roadtrip memories together. We’re lucky living in Nashville: within just a couple hours we can drive to great destinations like Chattanooga, Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis… I could go on! We even love heading up to Chicago in our car (don’t forget, there’s a Legoland Discovery Center & American Girl Store there!).

Not matter where you live, take a look at where you could get to within a day and then call your intended tourist destination to see if they partner with any local hotels to offer discounted packages. You’ll also want to call the local convention and visitor’s bureau to help do some of that savings detective work for you.

In fact, by roadtripping, you can also bring a lot of your own food with you AND you won’t have to rent a car. So just when you thought you couldn’t afford to travel at the last minute, here you go!
