In today’s Daily Dash video, February 19 2015, not only are the kids not in school again today, neither am I…

The Daily Dash: February 19 2015 {School’s Still Out}

* More than 100 records set to fall today as record low temperatures hit the country (including here in Nashville!)
* 2 dead in UCLA “Superbug” scare
* Westminster dog show won by a Beagle named Ms. P
* After multiple security breaches, President Obama names a new head of the Secret Service
* FDA has approved an apple that doesn’t turn brown once cut into

*Loving: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, that’s now out on DVD. To be honest, it was tough for me to watch the majority of this movie. Ever since becoming a mom, I have a hard time watching a lot of ‘bad’ things happen on TV or in movies. But I LOVE how this film resolved itself (and of course, the kids loved the whole movie). Interesting side note that my daughter pointed out – two of the female characters in the film have also been in two different American Girl movies!

*Learning: About Lent and Ash Wednesday, thanks to The Messiah Mystery from Ever Thine Home. There are activities every Wednesday leading up to Easter, so there’s still time to join in with your family – plus you can save 50% off with code CONE (making it only $12!).

*Doing: Praying for my husband as he and the Plumb crew have to drive to MO for a show. Realizing the gift that we have of being home, I also want to get our house picked up from all the wet clothes from sledding and the recycled art projects my kids have been busy creating this week.
