IN MY LIFE
We started out today by going to our kids’ school for K’s Q1 awards ceremony. Not only did both kids get on the Honor Roll, but K made it to the “Sharp Mind” Honor Roll, honoring scholars who earned all A’s in ALL their classes (only about a dozen students in all of 8th graded earned that distinction). Obviously, we’re quite proud of their hard work.
As you know, I’ve been loving the newly-chilly weather here in Nashville, and thank goodness because I’ve been waiting for some cold weather total pumpkin pictures, and there’s’ no better place in Nashville than Cheekwood for Fall Harvest! National Pumpkin Day is today, and to celebrate, Cheekwood is offering Buy One Get One Free deals on all pumpkins from October 26-29. This is the final week of Cheekwood Harvest, and it is also the final week to experience their incredible 11-foot-tall Pumpkin House, the star of their six-week-long Harvest festival, before it is de-installed on Monday.
