IN MY LIFE:

After going on two cruises in the last month, it’s time to reset my eating. I’ve tried lots of things to get healthy over the years. And while I make a lot of healthy choices each day, I’ve still been stalled when it comes to my weight and clearing up some skin issues.

Because I want to feel and look better, not to mention be a better example to my children, I’m taking a different approach.

Instead of following just one plan or way of eating, I’m doing a few things that I believe will make a big impact:

1. I’ve joined Noom. I’m intrigued over their psychological approach to getting healthy (and staying healthy). Their online questionnaire reminded me of filling out an eHarmony profile back in the day! But I hope this deep dive is what will help me turn the corner.

If you want to start Noom with me, you can get a 14-day free trial.

2. I’m also trying home delivery from the Splendid Spoon. They recently sent me five smoothies, a wellness ’shot’ and four bowls. Everything arrived cold, so I just popped it all in my fridge for when I’m ready.

Today I started with a Green Matcha Smoothie and a Coconut Curry Rice Bowl (which actually came with 2 servings). So far, Splendid Spoon has allowed me not to have ANY excuses to start and stay on this health reset.

3. Finally, I’ve purposed to make fruits and vegetables my snacks. For so long, I’ve worried about the hidden ’sugar’ in most fruit. But when I realize what I grab from the pantry most of the time for a snack, my logic doesn’t hold up.

Thanks for cheering me on during these next few weeks!

PRAYER FOCUS: Self-Control
The one thing I’ve appreciated about Noom is the encouragement and coaching I’ve already received, making it easier for me to stay focused. I pray self-control over each of you and myself today!
