While I don’t believe in living with regret, to say there are some things that I wish would have gone differently in 2012 is an understatement.

According to the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale, we basically fell into the stress category of “You have a high or very high risk of becoming ill in the near future”: A move, a family death, a new job, a change in health…I could go on…

I’d be lying if I said it didn’t take a toll on our family and our marriage.

While we still have a lot of work to do when it comes to sorting through all that’s gone on this year and how it’s affected our lives and relationships, we are committed to each other and to making 2013 different.

After all, we have a lot of milestones to celebrate in 2013! The two most note-worthy are:
-Ricky turns 40 this summer
-We will celebrate our 10th marriage anniversary in August

So we are claiming 2013 as the Year of Celebration for the Cone Family!

And in doing so, we wanted to mark this year in some very special ways. As a family who loves to be on-the-go, we’re going to find even more unique ways to make more memories together this year.

We chose to make the first “Cone Year of Celebration” event announcement to our kids on Christmas day in a very special way…you can watch the special scavenger hunt video here
